Women, especially women of color have been underrepresented in clinical trials of treatment for HIV. However, some studies suggest that women infected with HIV are less likely to respond to treatment HICV than their male colleagues. The study is evaluating gender differences in terms of effectiveness of HIV treatment and to evaluate the incidence of adverse events among HIV-positive darunavir-ritonavir-based therapy.
